Summary/Abstract: Languages in contact sometimes influence each other considerably. The result of such a situation can be the formation of so called Sprachbund or association of languages. It was the case of the Iberian languages which have a lot of typologically rare phonetic, morphologic and syntactic common features. These features are not of Latin origin even in Romanian languages of Iberian Peninsula. The existence of the Iberian Sprachbund is a proof that tongues in contact can become similar from some points of view, diversifying in the same time. An interesting case is Spanish Language which during its evolution has become phonetically very similar to Basque. It is a proof that a small language can significantly influence a very big and important one.
