Summary/Abstract: When we are learning a new foreign language, we often try to meet some similarities to make our learning process easier. We start with the comparison of the pronunciation, then we observe the grammatical system and finally we analise the vocabulary. And we are suprised to see so many similar words. Usually they are similar just at the ortographic level because their meanings are totally different. Those famous pares, called false friends, between Spanish and Polish will form the point of interest of this article. After examining various approaches to the phenomenon, a summary of false friends between Spanish and Polish will be presented in three different tables.
