Summary/Abstract: The text refers to the creation of songs during the Macedonian revolutionary movement. Nothing is lost as long as it is sung in the folk language. As long as songs are being created, as long as the people sing of their life. Nothing is lost as long as the folk language and the folk song exist. In one occasion, Kocho Racin wrote that “all that could not be said feely, what had to be silent, what had to survive internally, found its place in the song”. In-deed, the Macedonian people in the many centuries of repression were unable to say many things, they had to hide them inside. All of that found place in the song, which was a faithful companion in life.
