Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the problem of dynamic identity changes. Such concepts as development, formation, construction of identity, the transformation of identity and identity crisis are touched upon in this paper. Possible outcomes of identity transformation in the context of correlation of social and personal identities and different levels of identity manifestation are described: psychophysiological, psychic, personal and psychosocial. Classification of identity types taking into account the depth of the transformation process is presented. Features of the outcomes of identity crisis from the point of view of the identity status model are mentioned. Descriptions and signs of a deep identity crisis are described. Particular attention is paid to the importance of forming a positive identity. Negative consequences connected with the formation of negative identity on the example of ethnic identity are shown. Conclusions are drawn about the importance of corrective and preventive measures aimed at the realization of personal meanings, positive intergroup interaction and the formation of a positive identity.
