Diagnose of using Big Data in organizations – selected results of research

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to identify, on the basis of results of direct research, ways and areas of using Big Data in enterprises. The article discusses the specifics of Big Data and Business Intelligence systems as a tool for their analysis. The results of research on the use of Big Data in organizations are presented in the following article. The study is based on: (1) critical analysis of the literature on Big Data, (2) analyzing the use of BD in the activities of various organizations, and (3) presenting selected survey results for the use of the above mentioned IT solution in organizations. Direct research with a questionnaire were conducted, among manufacturing, service and commercial companies.
