Summary/Abstract: Modern economics is being shaped in the conditions of globalization, popularization of modern information and communication technologies as well as development of knowledge society. The development of the Internet and mobile technologies has made consumers and organizations function in a network of increasing global reach, and collectively generate added value through the exchange of goods and services, and collaborate according to previously unknown models of sharing and co-creating. Contemporary consumers play a key role in these models as so-called prosumers. Prosumer is an aware and active consumer who excludes passive behavior towards the offered good and wants to have a real impact on the market offer. In this context, the article has characterized the specifics of Polish senior prosumers potential and the role they may play in the sharing and co-creation processes.
