Summary/Abstract: The paper presents a theoretical study that to provide in comparative perspective the development of pre-school and school education in Italy during the last 30 years. The education aims and structure are analyzed on the base of extensive database. The author outlines the recent developments and innovations. They are determined by both the objective development of society and the requirement of the European Union in the terms of education.
