Summary/Abstract: Blogs run by dogs’ owners is one of the newest Internet phenomena. The goal of the article is to investigate motivations of bloggers by examining blogs about dogs. The research was conducted with the use of online questionnaire and content analysis. The results confirmed that the bloggers are mainly motivated by their passion; financial aspects of running a blog are therefore not important. The research shows an enormous creative power of studied social actors, and proves that the trend of commercialization of blogging is not as omnipotent as it seems.
