Summary/Abstract: Teaching in a bi-dialectal context with special references to the Cyprus educational context is the aim of the article. The author explains the primacy of standard language in education, multilingualism/multidialectalism and education, multilingualism/multidialectalism and education, domains of use of Cypriot dialect, the use of the CD and language education in Cyprus and the Pavlou and Papapavlou study.
