Local revitalization plan as a tool for supporting the development of problem area

Summary/Abstract: Revitalization is the reintroduction of areas that have been thrown out for some reason to the margins of a settlement unit in the neighborhood. Previous revitalization actions, in line with cohesion policy, have not produced the expected results – no significant improvement in the problem areas has been achieved. For this reason, an attempt was made to answer the key question: have developed new local revitalization plans for municipalities that fall into the problem areas will contribute to their development. The research was carried out on the example of the implemented and planned revitalization projects of the West Pomerania voivodeship communes.
