Summary/Abstract: Tourism is a factor that stimulates local and regional development. Its significance is even greater on commune level, according to attractiveness of tourism product offered. In this essay tourism attractiveness is specified based on Hellwig‘s Taxonomy Meter and importance of tourism sector in local economy based on tourism entities share in total number of business entities. Communes with the greatest tourism attractiveness factor are based in southern part of Subcarpathian Voivodeship, especially in Bieszczady region. It is there, where we can observe the highest percentage of tourism entities.
