Summary/Abstract: For the achievement of certain goals (economic, social and environmental), it is necessary to manage capital in trade as efficiently as possible. For this purpose, it is very important to know the key determinants of the return on trade equity. In this paper, we have studied the impact of (twelve) key factors of the return on trade equity in Serbia in 2015 and 2016, by applying particular theoretical and methodological findings. This knowledge is very important when it comes to applying the adequate measures to improve the efficiency of trade capital management (return on equity) in Serbia in the future.
