Summary/Abstract: An unpublished manuscript containing information about the “A. D. Xenopol” County Library Arad, a public institution with a cultural tradition of over 130 years. The library was founded in 1881, by the Kölcsey cultural association, housed in the Cultural Palace; in 1918, the library included about 18000 volumes, and after the Great Union, the library received the book donation of A. D. Xenopol. In 1981, the library included 326.750 volumes, and after two other relocations, the nowadays premises is the eclectic building on Gheorghe Popa de Teiuş Street.
