Summary/Abstract: The essence of the Catalyse methodology proposed by the Laboratory MTI@SHS with the University Franche-Comté in Besançon, is constituted by the restoration of the results of the sociological investigation as method of shaping and hierarchying the community problems in the local and regional areas. The inquiries, the analyses or the elements of analysis are just stages forwarding the restoration of the results of the inquiry. These contribute to the constitution of an information set that would incite and trigger off debates in the community with the end of identification and hierarchy of the real problems of the community, as well as with the end of supporting the community development. The Catalyse methodology sustains a form of knowledge such as the research-action type. In the experiments (inquiries and the restoration of the results) made in several villages of Romania two types of restoring the results of the sociological inquiry were used: the individual restoration (through a guide of interview) and the group restoration (through public reunions with several local actors). Within each of these types of restoration, by specific instruments, data of the sociological research were presented and debates were held with the end of obtaining new information to complete the information of the research. We reached the conclusion that the Catalyse methodology, especially at the level of its nucleus i.e. the restoration of the results can be enriched and improved by the consolidation of its sociological basis. The development perspectives in this respect also represent the object of the paper proposed by us.
