Social Functioning of a Modern Family in Poland

Summary/Abstract: The contemporary Polish family under goes social transformations, which are largely conditioned by macro-social factors. In the last few decades they have been changing dynamically. The social functioning of the family, on the one hand, highlights positive changes such as parental partnership, equality of position and social roles, the subjectivity of family members, and, on the other hand, a social threat in the form of conflicts, isolation in the local environment and even social dysfunction.
