Summary/Abstract: The article is of a theoretical and empirical character. Its purpose is to present the differences in perception of relationships between hearing and deaf siblings. Thetheoretical part demonstrates the aspects that refer to relationships between siblings, paying special attentions to the relations between hearing and deaf siblings. The studies covered 30 deaf (a basic group) and 30 fully capable young people (a comparativegroup). The following tool was adopted in the performed studies: The Brother‐SisterQuestionnaire (BSQ) S. A. Graham‐Bermann, S. E. Cutler. The obtained results allow tonotice the need for research over an in‐depth analysis of relationships between hearing and deaf siblings, as the presented results pose only an attempt to answer the question:What are the relationships with hearing siblings as perceived by deaf youth, and ifthey are any, how are they different from those between fully capable siblings?
