Summary/Abstract: Even for the naive observer is obvious the fact that the dreams are movie-like, and they can contain images from daily events (media events too). Beside the psychology the anthropological language theories and semiotic studies can have contact with the media theories in the research process of the dreams. The study reviews the main branches of the dream researches and defines the phenomenon of the dream. What media effects can be observed in this special (illogical, prelogical) medium, which is not communicative, but meaning-carrying, potentially meaning-creating medium? The author analyses the liaison between the dream-related memories, their narration, the relations between the movies and dreams, and presents some examples for the daily (medial too) effects of the dreams, and presents some hypothesis about the colors perceived in the dreams.
