Observations on the substance of the criminal case in the light of the New Criminal Procedure Code

Summary/Abstract: The entry into force of the New Code of Criminal Procedure has given rise to a significant effort of debating the essential novelties of the enactment, the amendments leading to a reshaped procedure before the first instance court, as well as the deficiencies, mismatches or inherent problems of such an ambitious project. Our study is both informative and critical, and aims at making a few comments on the above-mentioned topic.
