Summary/Abstract: The cultural, political, educational and historical relationships of the Magyars with their former national minorities are barely known outside the Central and East European region, though they still resonate across today’s Hungarian borders,presenting a deeply troubled and contested discourse, with disputed national identities and incompatible narratives of nation at the core of these relationships.
