SWOT ANALYSIS OF PRIORITY FIELDS FOR IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF UPBRINGING-EDUCATIONAL WORK IN MADRASAS

Summary/Abstract: The article presents a part of the SWOT analysis carried out with a purpose of identifying priority fields that require improvements in the quality of upbringing and educational work in madrasas. The analysis includes all the madrasas in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We have noted a range of different requirements for which communication and mutual exchange of experiences could be of a benefit to each madrasa. Varying working conditions also contribute to these differences. It was noted that some of these priorities could be solved within the organisational structure of madrasa, whereas others require a stronger support of government, founders, local community or good-willing sponsors. This research provided a good deal of information of which only a smaller portion we present here for the public. We also omitted statistic indicators of the differences amongst the different madrasas that was obtained by the analysis, as we have stressed upon the problem caused by these in the article. Thus here we present only a general view of descriptive statistical parameters, gathered by the analysis, that mark advantages (strengths), weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
