Summary/Abstract: This article is the report from the research of relationship between medical tourismand health tourism in Western Pomerania. Medical tourism is realized mostly in connectionwith taking treatment outside the place of residence. In the case of West Pomerania,its medical centers are most frequently visited by tourists from Germany and UnitedKingdom. The main incentive are the low prices of the services provided, as comparedwith those in force in Germany and in UK, as well as the high quality of the services provided.Many tourists from all over Europe also visit the medical centers of West Pomerania.They most commonly make use of the services of plastic and aesthetic surgery, cardiologyand cardiac surgery and rehabilitation, bariatrics, ophthalmology and traumatology. Thanksto the interest in the medical market of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, this area is, alsogreatly recognized as a place of tourism generally.The aim of the conducted analysis was:• recognition of the medical tourism market structure and the identity of its place in healthtourism in West Pomerania,• recognition of conditions for the development of medical tourism market,• determining the role of medical tourism in the socio-economic development of the WestPomerania province.
