Summary/Abstract: Currently, one of the main factors affecting the economy is the progress in the field of ICT. Postal operators, performing postal services, as a result of shaping new customer requirements and increasing competition, decide on solutions based on modern technologies. The aim of the article is to present the influence of modern technologies on the postal market in the context of shaping new services − e-postal services. In order to achieve the assumed objective, national and foreign language literature on the subject of the functioning of the postal services market was used and was supported by own observations of the Polish postal services market. The analysis of the situation on the postal markets has shown intense trends regarding the use of modern technologies that affect the digitization of traditional postal services. The analysis of the situation on the Polish postal market has shown that there are still areas such as e-commerce services, financial and payment services or innovation, which should develop more intensively.
