Barriers of local development strategic management

Summary/Abstract: The article is devoted to the barriers of local development strategic management. In the initial part of the article the author presents the concept of local development. Next, he defines the category of local development strategic management, as well as barriers of this management, and divides them into two sets: the set of barriers of local development strategic management carried out by local authorities and a set of barriers of local development strategic management run by regional authorities, state authorities and the authorities of international organizations. The rest of the article is devoted exclusively to the first set of barriers. This elaboration is a result of several year practice and research in the author's conceptualization and implementation of local development strategies.
