Stimulating the Development of Human and Social Capital in the Region of Lodz - the Analysis of Selected Initiatives

Summary/Abstract: Article points to influence of social and human capital stimulation initiativeson generating the possibilities of more effective regional development. Example ofLodzkie Voivodship was used as a benchmark for which analysis and evaluation withinselection of projects related to strategic areas of human resources and potential wasdone. Article relates to analyses and studies made by local authorities and private organizationsthat describe process of developing human and social capital, results ofselected scientific studies from area of human management, its barriers and stimulatingfactors; also thematically related literature and scientific publications. Statistical datathat illustrates correlation of topics from areas of regional and human capital developmentalong with attempt to assess the current pace and direction of such growth.
