Summary/Abstract: The principles and purposes of medical support are specifically designed to allow and facilitate maximum flexibility in their application. They do not explicitly imply or exclude the particular approaches of nations contributing to operational medical support. However, these designed the primary frame of the structure on which operational medical support policies are based, thus encouraging close cooperation between the participating armies, even if a number of specific national doctrines differ.
