Summary/Abstract: National security is a highly debated topic lately in the context of rising external risks and threats, but domestic issues of national security are scarcely analyzed. In this respect, this article addresses the domestic, non-military component of national security deduced in particular from citizens’ perception of this aspect of their lives as a result of questionnaires applied by the author in 2014 and 2017. It follows from these questionnaires that the daily issues influencing the lives of every citizen and community has a major impact on how the security theme is viewed in general.
