Summary/Abstract: Analyzing current trends in the field of security research, some security perspectives can be outlined as: military; policy; economic; social; cultural and ecological issues. Each of these has an important role in ensuring security, and, moreover, they interrelate. The political perspective has in view both the connection between the state and its citizens, as well as the international relations of that state. The economic perspective is concerned with building the economic bases for military power and the strictly economic security element at all its levels, specifically targeting the individual. Citizen security is central to the social perspective of security: the security of a state can not be assured without the individual’s security.
