Summary/Abstract: In an interconnected world, there is no major crisis that will have no repercussions on the world and, of course, there is no crisis that does not affect the European Union and its global network of political and economic partnerships. Most crises have local, regional and international dimensions. Crisis management is a component of the European Union’s external security and defense policy and, as a result of the adoption of a new global strategy for the foreign and security policy of the European Union (2016), crisis management has been refined through institutional reform and creating a new crisis response mechanism
