Summary/Abstract: The article covers the question of the specific character of variety art. During the analysis of genesis, formation and establishment of variety art, it's basic principles in the comparison with other art forms are investigated. Specific character of variety art is presented in socialhistorical context: from the 1980th till our days. Also the articles covers the problem of equivalence between modern state of domestic variety art and it's basic principles.
