Summary/Abstract: This article focuses on the importance of the school and the teacher for the sexual education of children and adolescents. The nature of gender and sexual education; status of the school in the consciousness of students as a source of information and consulting on the issues of gender and sexuality; principles of selection of the content of gender and sexual information; requirements for the organization and pedagogical guidance on sex education; negative teacher attitudes related to gender are presented.
