Summary/Abstract: With the end of the Cold War and rise of globalizitaion, important changes occured in security studies as other areas. The dominant role of military issues in security studies has decreased and new security areas have emerged. Environmental security, which has become an important issue especially since the second half of the 20th century, has increased its importance in this sense as a result of increasing industrialization. In this study, global warming, environmental threats and international regulations on this area have been addressed in the context of environmental security through focusing on the relationship between environment and security.
