Summary/Abstract: The answers of many questions connected with the teaching process lie in the professional development of teachers, and it represents the most important segment of a comprehensive and systemic reform. The number of experts who examined the factors that influence the success and achievements of students is big and they all agree that teacher has a key role. Therefore, schools in their development plans must take into account the necessity of continuous professional development of teachers, especially in the very complex process such as assessment, and the need to create a stimulating environment for both teachers and students.
