Summary/Abstract: In the publication the European Commission’s report on tackling obstacles in border regions that affect the quality of cooperation, discusses the substance of the problem, analyzing current obstacles, identifying relevant issues, and presenting general findings. Legal and administrative barriers, language barriers, physical accessibility, economic differences, public authorities’ interest, social and cultural differences, lack of trust are among the most common problems. The report also suggests solutions to these problems. The study conducted by DG Regio is a valuable resource that has involved 623 actors in cross-border cooperation in Europe. According to the authors, the analysis presented at this general level, at the European level, is not fully useful for Euroregions in lubuskie. Specific cross-border issues need to be identified in order to guide the development of cross-border cooperation, to define the objectives of specific crossborder partners, resulting from the objectives of the action, their results and indicators. keywOrDS cross-border cooperation, European Commission’s, euroregions
