Summary/Abstract: The article is of theoretical and research character. It presents an analysis of opinions expressed by assistance programmes students from Poland and Ukraine on spiritual support for persons with intellectual disability (ID). The research was conducted among first year students of psychology, pedagogy and special pedagogy. Spirituality of man is one of the elements that make up the fullness of humanity. A diagnostic survey method was used in the study and statistical methods were used for data analysis, e.g. Test 2. The findings are not diametrically differentiated by individual variables. The results show that young people from these two countries, who in future will be dealing with individuals with ID, recognize spiritual support for this social group as one of their fundamental rights.
