Summary/Abstract: The subject of this paper is the use of inherently-reflexive verbs (Reflexiva tantum) in texts with contents from the politics in selected German daily newspapers. The paper describes the constitutive models of German inherently-reflexive verbs in selected texts and their lexicalization in the electronic edition of the Duden’s Universal Language Dictionary, and analyzes the communication functions of these reflexive constructions in political reports and comments in the German daily newspapers.
