Verbal Aggression in Virtual Social Environments

Summary/Abstract: In the paper, questions associated with communication problems in virtual-social environments are discussed, the environments having become a social and cultural environmentwhere social values and norms are acquired. However, these values are not always in line withmoral and legal imperatives. In virtual social environments, deviant behaviour is very frequent,verbal aggression included. In the paper, network communities are analysed that are focused onexpressing and spreading aggression. Reasons of participation in such communities are discussed.The work is of interest for specialists dealing with problems of deviant behaviour in youth and of thedevelopment of modern information and communication technologies.
