Summary/Abstract: The essay discusses two concepts, corporeality and media corpus, introduced in the field of communication sciences by Radu Stănese through his applied studies. Both define the human body, especially the nudity, from the perspective of an anthropology of visual communication. The first, corporeality, circumscribes the existence, as a whole, perceived at body, sensorial, material level. The second, corpus media, describes the totality of the means by which corporeality is manifested, in other words, how the human strives to become a phenomenality of interest. The vehicle most often used for this attitude is the body, and to surprise or shock, for various reasons, it is often (re)presented nude.
