Summary/Abstract: In the article the main tendencies in the development of the scientific researches as for the problems of active and cultural leisure have been analyzed. The basic concepts of leisure as socio-cultural, recreational, animation aspects in human life have been studied. The theoretical aspects of animation activity in tourism have been considered.
