Summary/Abstract: Throughout its history, Eurasia was cut through communication routes and trade lanes that gradually began to connect and create routes, now known as Silk Roads. These are trails on both sides of the land and sea along which silk and many other goods were exchanged between people from all over the world. Today, this prospect returns under the name of the New Silk Road thanks to Chinese President Xi Jinping. The aim of this article is to present the concept of the emergence and prospects for the development of the New Silk Road in the context of global supply chain management. The work is reviewed and based on an analysis of mainly Internet sources (English-speaking, German-speaking and Polish-speaking). This topic is current and relevant from an economic as well as a political point of view.
