Summary/Abstract: Éva Székely, our Hungarian author from France wrote about Wajdi Mouawad’s Blood Promises cycle. The Canadian-Lebanese playwright-director has been rewarded with numerous prizes. The author considers his four plays – Tideline (1999), Scorched (2003), Forests (2006) and Heavens (2009) – to be cruelly beautiful. One play from the French edition of the cycle has been translated to Hungarian and has been staged.
