Summary/Abstract: Introduction: The article presents examples of good practice in social work with families dealing with an acute problematic family situation. Core of work: The results are partial outcomes of the research, funded by means of the Internal Grant Competition of College of Polytechnics Jihlava as Project No. 1170/4/1716, "Specifics of Social Work at Work with Selected Target Groups". The aim of this research was to identify and describe examples of good practice in social work with selected target groups. One of these selected target groups were also families facing an acute problematic family situation (pre-divorcemand divorce proceedings, determining the amount of alimony, child custody, etc.). And this article brings partial results and findings from this workgroup. The interviews were conducted with a total of 11 employees of state socio-legal agencies for protection of children, recorded on a dictaphone, literally transcribed and subsequently evaluated by content analysis. Conclusion: In this article are presented data that were included in the category called "Recommendation of good practice - experience of social workers", where the social workers identified selected themes of good practice with this target group.
