Summary/Abstract: The modern art movements’ created a basis for 21th century art. These art movements affected the world of art both during and after their emergence. Most of the affects can also be seen in our present days. Art nouveau is one of the important art movements that affected the art world of the movement's emergence period, modern art geography and the present. It is known by everyone that every movement has destructive structure and, also it is obvious that all art movements have some similarities. On the contrary it can be said that for Art Nouveau it is very limited to imitate other art movements and these similarities. This movement not only brought a new kind of sense of art to its emergence period, but also created a integrity, philosophies and technique that would make its mark / become popular. Aim of this research is to review Art Nouveau's emergence period, to find the reason behind why it differs from country to country, and to discuss Art Nouveau's contributions to world of art, its visual differences and the interactions with other art movements and disciplines.
