INVESTIGATION OF EMPRESSIONISM MOVEMENT WITH CURRENT VIEWPOINT FROM SOME ASPECTS

Summary/Abstract: An Art movement, generally known as modern art movements, has influenced the world of art in many ways after their emergence. Especially, those that emerged almost in the beginning of 20th century turned a new page in the world of art. One of those the most important and influential art movements is known as Impressionism. This art movement was perceived differently not only in its early years, but also it continued to be perceived more differently in all ages. Impressionism that interacted with other art movements in either positive or negative way, inspired almost all other art movements. It influenced its environment in different times with different scale. It is possible to say that while there emerged different reactions in different cultures, there were also various interpretations in different times. In this research, Impressionism will be discussed in terms of its emergence process, contributions to the world of art , artworks' unusual features in terms of their emergence date and interactions with other art movements.
