The founding act of the evangelical church in Starościn from 17th May 1928

Summary/Abstract: This publication is the supplement to the reference work published in the “Silesian Studies” in 2013 with the title “The Erection Act of Evangelical Church in Starościn (2 October 1927).” Apart from the aforementioned erection act from 2nd October 1927, the bulk of the source materials provided by the Namysłów Region Enthusiasts Society in Namysłów has been made complete with the founding act from 17th May 1928 and the declaration of the evangelical parish Pastor in Miodary, Paul Riebe, from 1st October 1927. These very materials are the subject matter of the present publication. The founding act describes the circumstances accompanying the completion of the construction work of the evangelical church in Starościn. The source materials provide additional insight into the structural data pertaining to the building, which no longer exists today, although the documents have many purely theological elements. The founding act enumerates institutions and persons who supported the construction investment to a considerable extent. Another document that supplements the source materials is Pastor Paul Riebe’s declaration, in which he specifies the circumstances of the church construction, for which he takes no personal responsibility and towards which he had serious reservations.
