Summary/Abstract: In the research first of all, the concept of love that take place in Othello, is examined through jealousy, death, political themes and being questioned self concept and motive which led to the determination of the hero. After analyzing the form and content of the tragedy, Shakespeare’s approach to the concept of alienation and metamorphosis, the interpretation of death as an anti-life and the other is being investigated. Then, how the life and death dialectic of literary and visual arts is described is analyzed through the studies which are taken as examples. In this context, the work of Robert Rauschenberg is examined through the notional systems in terms of the death and life dialect in Othello, and a rhetorical analysis of these concepts in the postmodern art and Robert Rauschenberg sample is carried out. This research used descriptive model in relational research method. The findings obtained in the research process are interpreted by continuous comparison analysis method in the interpretation of the images.
