Summary/Abstract: In this study, the effects of the concept of trace on memory, mind and perception in the samples of Ana Mandieta and Rene Magritte were examined. The main problem of the examination is to direct fictional formations to the new research problems in the basic principles of the trace concept. At the same time, the psychological approaches, cognitive processes and subjective perception processes that are behind the formation stages in the works of the artists who are sampled are tried to be resolved. In the context of these approaches, the concept of traces in the perception of the artist, the mental analysis of the artist's perception of the work, memory trace associative analysis was reported in the artist's attitude in the mental perception and the in the artist's attitude. The result was reached by the analysis of epicodic and semantic memory in relation to the data obtained in the stage of relational analysis and the connection method being analyzed in accordance with the artist's perception and the concept of the visual and motion related trace of the perceived things. The research is a descriptive research on the universe and the sample. Relational screening method was used in the research process. In the pictorial phase of the research, psychological based examination was performed and relational analysis was performed. At the same time, the research universe was limited to Master Mandieta and Rene Magritte and was evaluated within the sampled period of the artists subject of the study.
