THE ENVIRONMENT AWARENESS IN THE CONTEXT OF ART OF PHOTOGRAPHY

Summary/Abstract: Constantly growing industry, urbanization and excessive consumerism have brought a global environmental issue that is the uncontrolled rapid increase in garbage production. Day by day, the mankind pollutes the environment and unconcerned exploits the natural resources. Although some countries, companies and non-profit organizations have initiated a number of eko initiatives expressed in terms of “green” to take the necessary precautions still they are not enough. Therefore, it is necessary to develop a new way of production and consumerism habits regarding the environmental needs. This article, deal with the thematic works of some artists who draw attention to environmental pollution through trash, aims to raise awareness of garbage production by focusing on the effects of photographic art in an effort to improve human and nature life; examining what role it can play in terms of raising awareness of individuals and societies.
