Financing Development by Local Governments’ Units

Summary/Abstract: Ensuring funding is among the most important areas of management because it promotes development. It requires efficiency in day-to-day management of available resources, but also the ability to raise external financing at the lowest cost. Significant barriers to financing local government tasks prompt the need for alternative sources of investment financing in the form of loans or the issuing of securities. Changes have a significant impact on the financial situation of local governments, and thus a direct impact on funding opportunities for development. The subject matter of this article is the analysis of sources of financing development by local government. The research covers the years 2012–2016.
