Summary/Abstract: Throughout history, the forms that artists have created through perception of nature have exposed different expressive forms, technical solutions and language associations. Numerous movements, attitudes and styles have emerged throughout the ages in the light of all the expressions of the qualitative direction of the works of art expressing the dimension of being. The 19th and 20th centuries witnessed incredible developments in the art world, where different periods and styles followed one after the other and major breaks occurred. The diversity and change that the art world has experienced in the nineteenth century has been created in all disciplines, naturally it has also been shown in the art of sculpture. The 19th century, 20th century, when the seeds of modern art were laid, are the basis for the innovative understanding of sculpture art. By the end of the 19th century, the beginning of the 20th century, sculptors began to intensely deal with mass, space, motion, light and form relations. Especially, the concept of “movement”, which is frequently encountered in modern sculpture, has been in a position to define the ever-changing structure of the period in terms of cultural values, while being in front of the similarity and form in terms of plastic. The artists who produced in different fields in this change environment started to produce in other fields and they produced works with technical solutions in various materials. One of these artists was Henri Matisse, a painter who became immortalized with Fauvism. In this work, artifacts of Fovist painter Henri Matisse, one of the master names of 20th century painting, revealed from the perspective of sculpture art were evaluated from the perspective of an artist.
