Summary/Abstract: It was already in his Apostolic Letter that Pope John Paul II appealed to the faithful to discover the presence of the Holy Spirit both in the holy sacraments and through the various charismata, tasks and services to the faithful for the sake of the Church. This appeal was reminded about in the Letter of the Congregation for The Doctrine of the Faith Iuvenescit Ecclesia approved by Pope Francis. This article raises the issue of Christian prayer inspired by the Holy Spirit, its integrating role due to the power of the Holy Spirit and the relation between the prayer and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. It should be noted that there is a growth in the awareness and recognition of multiple actions of the Holy Spirit in the Church and the charismatic gifts through which people of God can fulfil their mission. The Holy Spirit is the source of every gift that comes from God in the order of creation.
